not gone yet

Hi,
It's friday evening, and I am 36 hours or less away from travelling to Kenya as part of the Open Arms International outreach team.
we will be doing medical clinics and children's ministry in the Kambi Teso slum area, which is one of the poorest areas in Eldoret.
It is a privilege to be able to go on this trip, and to be part of God's work in reaching these people whom he cares so much about. The poor, the orphans and the widows: those that are most on His heart, and it is those that we will be serving in Eldoret.
I am excited to be returning to eldoret, and catching up with the staff out there again as well; and I am also excited to be going with a team of amazing folks, and to be journeying with them as they do this sort of work for the first time. I suspect God will work in ways we can't imagine sitting here in our cosy western homes, and will touch team members in ways that change them forever; what a privilege to be involved.
well, keep checking back, as this will be where I post my blogs (internet access willing), and in the meantime i hear a Friday evening glass of wine calling, and maybe I'll do the packing tomorrow instead!
